Why Winter Is A Good Time To Get Decking Installed

Two ladies sitting on some decking

Although we recently had some unseasonably warm weather, which may have enabled you to get a few more days and weekends of use out of your garden than you expected, now is when you’ll typically start to wind down the space for the winter.

But, why leave it out in the cold, so to speak?

Proceed with enhancing your garden by planting (snowdrops are a great winter plant), hanging bird feeders to draw in wildlife during the colder months and having Lakeland Verandahs round to install our smart UPVC decking.

It pays to get decking fitted now rather than wait.

Price lock

For a very limited period, we have locked our prices, giving you the opportunity to secure our decking at today’s prices, rather than potentially pay more for it once this promotion ends.

Material costs have risen significantly in recent months, which may force us to put our costs up, so you could make a great saving if you buy now and don’t wait.

You can ask us to hold off until next spring to fit it or just let us get on with installing it today.

Get ahead

It’s good forward-planning to get a deck fitted in winter as then it will be ready and waiting to be used from the very first day of spring in 2023, or whenever the weather is nice enough to let you do it.

Looking out from the house at the decking for the intervening months will get you excited about the product and have you conveying images in your mind of enjoying it with loved ones in the sunshine.

You don’t need to be concerned about any sleet or snow that falls this winter ageing or blighting the deck, as it is weather-resistant.

Christmas deck-orating

We’ll soon be full of festive cheer, and once the Christmas tree is put up inside the house, attention should be turned to doing some outdoor deck-orating for the yuletide occasion.

Lay down some artificial snow on the deckboards with festive planters placed on top, and wrap battery-powered LED fairy lights in red, green or white around any balustrades that are incorporated into the deck design.

An inflatable Santa sitting out on your new decking would also bring ho-ho-ho much hilarity in the build-up to the big day.

Decking for Christmas

If you’re in agreement that there’s no time like the present to get garden decking organised, contact Lakeland Verandahs without delay.
